Public is still amazed with the dual-core processors which are built in smartphones today, but technology would never stop. The hot news comes from Freescale, which is ready to hit the market by launching quad-core CPU for smartphones. There are three new mobile processors launched by the company, which all are suitable for use in smartphones, Tablets and eReaders. Solo, Dual and Quad are the versions of the i.MX6 CPU which come with one, two and four Cortex A9 cores. This processor can run at 1.2 GHz. Freescale confirms that the level 2 cache wouldn’t be quoted for each of the CPUs, but it reaches 1MB.
Each of i.MX 6 processors is designed to allow full HD video decoding and encoding. For people who wait for the HDMI v1.4 and multiple USB 2.0 ports, all are built into the new processors. The stereoscopic image sensor also supports 3D imaging as long as the right camera module is built for the task.
Are you one of those who have been waiting for that quad-core CPU for smartphones? Freescale plans to start sampling the CPU this year. Let’s wait for it!

As we all probably know that the Windows Phone 7 mobile platform is a collaboration platform between Microsoft and device manufacturers. This could mean good and bad, the good thing is you can customized the phone and push it to the limit while keeping all the functionality and interface intact. The bad effect is that your phone is limited and restricted, so you probably would be deprived from great apps and you would have delayed updates.
Luckily, a method has been found to break free from your operator, here we have step by step guide to de-branding Windows Phone 7-powered HTC 7 Mozart. The method requires you to have a developer unlocked device and enough battery juice to get through to all the process. The credit goes to a well-known developer over at XDA, Casey_boy who presented this method.

Motorola Cliq XT has never got the chance to go big for some reasons. However, apparently this Android device has many users waiting for any news and tips about their device. The worst is that even the rooting tips for this device are rarely covered. Sadly, now we have the recent CyanogenMod 7.1 RC1 ROM release for this device that will boost the phone to maximum use. So, it would be a waste if you do not root your device.
However, to run CM7.1 RC1 ROM you will need to root your Cliq XT device, so if you have not root it yet, you can root it first. With or without the intention of installing CM7.1 RC1 ROM, root access would only give you advantages. Now that you already made up your mind to continue, let’s move on to the requirement and installation procedure.
However before we continue, you need to remember that we are not responsible if your device get damaged by following the process, so install and root at your own risk.
